Here in Sheboygan County, it feels as if the world has stopped.  Panic, worry, and the unknown.  I want to bring a little bit of joy the only way I know how - with photographs.

As a photographer, spend time capturing images of families and friends in times of joy: babies on the way, newborns, siblings, grandparents and more. Those moments are still happening in homes right now, but I can't be there to capture them.

​

Starting today, I am offering to take five minute ‘Front Steps Portraits” of families, friends, and couples in Sheboygan County.  I am taking some time each day to drive around the area and take a couple quick photos of families on their front steps. 

​

We will schedule a time, and I will call or text a couple minutes before I arrive.  You can step outside, where I’ll be standing near your driveway or street, maintaining proper social distancing.  I’ll take a couple quick shots and leave.  We can chat, smile and laugh, but you will never have to break our social distancing rules!

After your quick session, I will email you the digital file of your portrait.  That's it.  As simple as that.  No charge, and no strings attached.  I want to give back to the Sheboygan area the best way I know how.

Started on the east coast, the purpose of this project is to bring us together when we might feel isolated.  I aim to highlight the faces of our community during a time when we might not see them in passing at work, the coffee shop, or at the gym.  Participating in this project is also an opportunity to step up to help those who need a smile.

 

To be clear: I will be taking images outside ONLY and from at least 10 feet away. Our session will be brief, likely just 5 minutes. This is not a typical get-dressed-up-and-pose-for-the-photographer session. Want to stand outside in your pajamas and slippers? Sounds good to me. Kids in mismatched clothes but you’re thrilled they got dressed? Fantastic. Wearing your bike gear because you’re headed off to ride a trail in the nice weather? Love it!  Be you.
